The Marinex Seletta Rectangular Roaster holds 2.7 litres and has moulded handles, so a full dish comes out of a hot oven with a proper grip rather than a folded tea towel.
Marinex has been made in Brazil since the 1960s, and it is built for every step of the meal rather than just one. It is tempered soda-lime glass — heat-treated so it takes a knock, shrugs off a sudden temperature change, and stays clear instead of clouding over the years. One dish takes a joint out of the fridge and into a 300°C oven, comes to the table as a serving dish, goes back in with the leftovers, and then into the dishwasher. - Frozen contents need care: let the dish stand at room temperature first, or put it into a cold oven and bring the heat up with it. Straight from a freezer into an oven already at 200°C is a swing of more than 200°C and beyond what the glass is rated for.
- Not for use on a stovetop, hotplate, open flame or under a direct grill element.
- Do not add cold liquid to a dish straight from a hot oven, and do not stand a hot dish on a wet or cold surface.
- Wash before first use. Dishwasher safe on any cycle.
